President Asif Ali Zardari visits holy shrines in Baghdad

BAGHDAD: President Asif Ali Zardari attended the pilgrimage in Baghdad and prayed for the peace, unity and security of the Muslim Ummah.

According to a statement issued by the Presidential Palace, the President recited Fateha at the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) in Baghdad.

He also visited the shrines of Imam Musa al-Kazim (AS) and Imam Muhammad al-Taqi al-Jawad (AS) in the holy city of Kazimiya.

During his visit to the Kazimiya Shrine, the President prayed for the peace, unity and security of the Muslim Ummah and also recorded his impressions in the visitors’ book there.

The President described the teachings of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) as a permanent source of knowledge, patience, wisdom and moral strength. He also visited the shrine of Imam Abu Hanifa (RA). President Asif Ali Zardari also met with the administrators and preachers of all the shrines.
