President Zardari injured in Dubai accident

DUBAI: President Asif Ali Zardari was injured in an accident in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the spokesman of the Presidency said on Thursday.

In a statement, the spokesman said that the incident occurred last night when President Zardari disembarked from the plane at Dubai Airport and broke his leg.

He was “immediately” taken to the hospital for first aid. After the check-up, the doctors put a plaster on his foot while he was in the hospital.

The spokesperson confirmed that the plaster cast on the President’s foot will remain for four weeks. He has since been shifted back home and has been advised complete rest.
