Prime Minister of AJK Inaugurates Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial in Keran

KERAN: In a significant event, Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, alongside Major General Muhammad Irfan, General Officer Commanding, inaugurated the newly constructed Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial in Keran.

The memorial, built in collaboration with the World Kashmir Forum, honors the sacrifices of Kashmir’s martyrs.

The ceremony included a flag hoisting, where the AJK Prime Minister and World Kashmir Forum Chairman Haji Rafiq Pardesi raised the national flag, while Major General Irfan and other dignitaries hoisted the state flag. The event saw participation from key political figures, military officials, and civil society, including the wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, Ms. Mushaal Malik.

As part of the Defense Day celebrations, the ceremony also featured a military parade, with soldiers of the Pakistan Army paying tribute to the martyrs. The Prime Minister laid a floral wreath at the memorial, while army personnel offered a salute, marking the solemn occasion.
