PTA denies reports of mobile tax reduction

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a clarification that the claim of a reduction in mobile tax is fake.

The news circulating on social media regarding a reduction in mobile tax is false and misleading, PTA said in a statement.

The authority said that Do not share unverified information, as no instructions have been issued regarding the mobile phone tax or imports.

Only verified news from official websites and social media should be believed, PTA asserted.
