PTI alleges arrest of 300 workers from Lahore’s protest

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has claimed that its 300 workers have been detained in Lahore.

PTI Lahore President Imtiaz Sheikh, while talking to a private news channel, said that preparations for protests are complete in all constituencies of Lahore.

There will be a full-scale protest in Lahore today as a black day; all PTI ticket holders and workers have been instructed to protest in their constituencies.

PTI leader claimed that Lahore police are conducting raids to arrest PTI leaders and workers.

Party sources have also claimed that 300 of our workers have been detained in Lahore. Yesterday, PTI workers were not leaving the Punjab Assembly due to fear of raids.

Deputy Opposition Leader Moen Qureshi, Iqbal Khattak, Farukh Javed Moon, Amin Ullah Khan, Shoaib Amir Awan, and Khan Salahuddin were arrested mid-rally in Lahore.

Moreover, at least 15 FIRs have been registered against PTI workers at different Police stations in Lahore.

Hate speech against state institutions, obstructing government functions, blocking public highways and walkways, opposing law enforcement, and disturbing peace and order were among the charges in the FIR.
