LAHORE: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that blocking Islamabad or Peshawar will not lead to any reduction in the sentence of the PTI founder Imran Khan, adding that prisoners detained at Adiala Jail cannot be released without completing their sentences.

Talking to the media in Lahore, the governor said that the PTI founder is currently lodged in Adiala Jail as a VVIP prisoner and does not want to be treated in the manner he had earlier demanded.

Highlighting governance issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi said the chief minister should focus on resolving problems in the province instead of sitting outside Adiala Jail.

He also stated that the presence of the PTI founder in Adiala Jail is causing injustice to other inmates and urged the Punjab chief minister to consider transferring him to another facility.
