ISLAMABAD: Asking PTI workers to control their emotions, party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Monday said that workers should be assured that every effort is being made to release party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan.

Speaking to reporters at the Islamabad High Court (IHC), he said that he hoped that the matter of suspension of Imran’s sentence would be scheduled for hearing before Eid-ul-Azha.

Barrister Gohar said that we respect the sentiments of PTI workers, they have every right to ask for the release of the party founder, adding, “No one can justify Imran’s imprisonment for the last two years.”

The PTI chairman further said that the party has held sit-ins and protests for the release of the former prime minister. And we are pressing for his release through our speeches in the parliament.

Imran went on to say that I prayed to Allah Almighty and sought His help.
