MNAs arrive at Parliament on bicycles
ISLAMABAD: After the continuous increase in the prices of petroleum products in the country, there is a strong public reaction, while criticism of the government is also increasing in political circles.
In this regard, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member of National Assembly Iqbal Afridi reached the Parliament House on a bicycle in protest.
When PTI MNA Iqbal Afridi reached the Parliament House on a bicycle, the media representatives present there spoke to him. Iqbal Afridi said that the increasing prices of petrol have made the life of the common man difficult.
He said that the current government has no sense of the problems of the people, the government is only burdening the people to meet its shortfall.
Iqbal Afridi, while severely criticizing the government, said that the increase in the prices of petrol, electricity, gas and food items is tantamount to oppression and coercion against the people.
He said that when petrol becomes expensive, its impact is not limited to those driving vehicles but also affects transport fares, vegetables, pulses, flour, sugar and other daily necessities. Thus, a new wave of inflation is born, which is most detrimental to the poor and middle class.
The PTI leader said that the people are already suffering from inflation, unemployment and economic pressure, in such a situation, the increase in the prices of petroleum products will further increase their problems.
He said that the government should have provided relief to the people, but on the contrary, more burden has been put on the pockets of ordinary citizens.
