LAHORE- The Punjab government is set to introduce a mini-budget for the upcoming three months during the provincial assembly session tomorrow on Monday. Speaker Malik Ahmed Khan will preside over the session, where Provincial Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman will present the budget applicable from April to June 2024.
Previously, the Punjab government had decided to present a short-term mini-budget, with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directing the province’s finance ministry to prepare it. The session of the Punjab assembly has been convened for next week to conduct budget proceedings, during which the assembly is expected to endorse the mini-budget. Following approval, a special report will be presented before CM Maryam for her consideration.
