Punjab govt employees to get salaries before Eid ul Adha 2024

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced to give salaries to its employees in advance ahead of Eid ul Adha 2024.

According to the details, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued orders to pay advance salaries for June to the public sector employees before Eid, aimed to provide them with financial relief during the religious festival.

On CM Maryam Nawaz’s directions, the Finance Department has started preparations to ensure that salaries are disbursed by June 13, 2024. This initiative is expected to ease the financial burden on employees, enabling them to meet their Eid expenses amid rising inflation.

When will Punjab govt employees receive salaries before Eid ul Adha

On the orders of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Finance Department has started preparations to pay salaries to the employees before June 13.

The process of payment of salaries to the government staff will begin from the next week.

Earlier, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed the sighting of the Dhul-Hajj 1445 Hijri moon in Pakistan. This marks the beginning of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hajj and sets the date for Eid-ul-Adha, which will be celebrated nationwide on Monday, June 17.

As per the details, the announcement followed a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, held in Karachi on Friday evening. Simultaneously, Zonal Ruet Committees convened in various cities, including Lahore and Peshawar, to observe the moon.
