LAHORE: The Punjab cabinet has approved a new speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour for motorcyclists to ensure the safety of passengers on the roads.
As per the details, provincial information minister Azma Bokhari disclosed this while addressing a press conference on Tuesday, adding that approval has also been given to register vehicles within 6 months.
It was decided in the meeting that the speed of motorcycles will not exceed 60 kilometers per hour and companies will be directed not to exceed this limit for new motorcycles.
She said that the cabinet has approved the Hindu Marriage Act Rules. Azma Bokhari added that the Punjab government will provide loans to the youth to start businesses.
Moreover, interest-free loans of up to Rs 30 million will be available through Easy Business Card.
She said that electric vehicles will soon be on the roads of Punjab as the first batch of 28 buses will reach Lahore in two to three days.
She said that the cabinet has approved a unique business of Punjab Finance.
