Punjab offers Rs 10,000 green credit for solar appliance users

LAHORE: Those who use solar appliances can now get thousands of rupees from the provincial government of Punjab, the details of which are given below.

A post has been shared on social media by the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department of Punjab, in which the people of the province have been encouraged to save energy, improve the environment and use solar-connected devices.

In the social media post, the Punjab Environmental Protection Department said, “Save energy, improve the environment, use solar appliances and get green credit!”

It has also been stated that citizens can now get a green credit by using a solar stove, solar geyser or energy-saving fan.

The post shared by the department states that the value of a green credit is Rs 10,000, meaning that the user who gets a green credit will be entitled to Rs 10,000.
