ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda claims that Sohail Afridi will be disqualified soon.
Senator Faisal Vawda said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will be disqualified soon, while Governor’s rule may also be imposed in the province.
Speaking on a private TV program, Senator Faisal Vawda claimed that Sohail Afridi’s disqualification as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is “expected soon.”
Discussing the political situation in the program, Faisal Vawda said that if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) “creates more chaos” in the political environment, then the province should be prepared for Governor’s rule.
Faisal Vawda added that the relevant institutions have lists ready and those who make political statements while sitting abroad will also soon know what action is going to be taken against them.
Meanwhile, renowned legal expert Salman Akram Raja said in the program that due to the current tension and administrative situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, there is a risk of imposition of Governor’s rule, which will be a constitutionally complex and sensitive matter.
