HAFIZABAD: Punjab police have registered a case against a person for saying offensive words against President Asif Ali Zardari and attacking a worker of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), here on Monday.

As per the details, reports said that the man, identified as Zulfiqar Ali Butt, was booked against him on the complaint of Pakistan People’s Party Regional Secretary General Muhammad Arshad Mahand.

But the complainant said he was abusive about 12 months ago.

The city police have started the investigation into the matter while the arrest of the accused is yet to take place.

In March 2024, veteran Pakistani politician Asif Ali Zardari was sworn in as the President of Pakistan for the second time.
