Ramadan expected to start on February 19 in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has made a prediction regarding the moon sighting of Ramadan.

The Meteorological Department says that the first fast in Pakistan is expected to be on February 19, 2026.

The moon will be born on February 17 at 5:15 pm, and there is a strong possibility of the Ramadan moon being sighted on February 18.

According to the Meteorological Department, the moon will be about 26 hours old in Karachi on February 18, the sunset time in Karachi is 6:25 pm while the moonset time is 7:24 pm.

Therefore, there is a strong possibility of the moon being sighted on February 18 and the first Ramadan is likely to be on Thursday, February 19.
