RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has cracked down on illegal housing schemes, issuing notices to seven developers for unauthorized marketing and plot sales.

The affected schemes include Gilgit City, Mehmood Town, Hamdard City, Top View City, Wanni, Green Hurtus, and Farm Land Estate.

RDA’s Director General, Kinza Murtaza, has ordered strict action against these illegal projects, including the filing of First Information Reports (FIRs) against their owners.

Moreover, the authority has warned citizens not to invest in these schemes and advised them to verify the status of housing projects on the RDA website.

The developers have been directed to cease all development work, advertising, and plot sales, failing which they will face legal action. This move aims to protect citizens from fraudulent investments and ensure compliance with regulatory approvals
