Renowned Qawwal passes away after prolong illness

PAKPATTAN: World-renowned Qawwal Nazir Faridi has passed away in Pakpattan after a long illness. He had been ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment.

Nazir Faridi started his artistic life and Samaa at the Dargah of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar in Pakpattan. He acquired special skills in reciting Sufi and mystical poetry, due to which he gained immense fame not only in Pakistan but also in the whole world.

The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered today after Asr prayers at the Dargah of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar, in which a large number of devotees and people associated with art are expected to participate.
