ISLAMABAD: A bizarre incident unfolded in the capital city today. At 8:30 a.m., a commuter snatched a mobile phone on IJP Road near the PSL venue.

The victim was reportedly targeted by a snatcher who quickly fled the scene, leaving the victim without their phone.

In another incident, a snatching attempt in I-14 Islamabad turned deadly, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuring two others.

The incident occurred when the snatcher attempted to steal from someone, but the situation escalated, leading to fatal consequences. However, the swift response of bystanders led to the capture of one of the snatchers, who is now in custody.

These incidents have raised concerns about the increasing brazenness of snatchers and the need for increased vigilance and security measures to protect citizens and their belongings, especially during the PSL season.

The authorities are currently investigating both incidents, and efforts are being made to prevent such crimes in the future. The public is advised to remain cautious and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

The city’s residents are concerned about the rising number of snatching incidents and demand increased security measures to ensure their safety.

The authorities must take concrete steps to address this issue and prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
