Saudi Arabia gifts 100 tons of dates to Pakistan, strengthening bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has yet again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the people of Pakistan by gifting 100 tons of dates to the country as a symbol of goodwill and solidarity.

A formal handover ceremony took place at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the federal capital where Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, and the Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre (KSrelief), Abdullah Al-Baqami, presented the consignment to Director General Military Wing Brigadier Alamgeer Ayub.

This act of generosity is part of Saudi Arabia’s annual tradition of donating dates to Pakistan and reiterates the country’s commitment to developing bilateral relations and humanitarian aid.

The gift is a testament to the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, which are based on shared  values of generosity and mutual support.

Brigadier Alamgeer Ayub thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the leadership of Saudi Arabia for their unstinted generosity and consistent support for Pakistan. He said that this noble act of solidarity not only strengthens the ties between the two nations but also reflects the profound relationship they cherish.

The annual donation of dates is an important component of Saudi Arabia’s endeavors to enhance its humanitarian outreach and develop bilateral relations with Pakistan, and it clearly shows that the country is serious about helping its people.
