Section 144 extended in Rawalpindi & Islamabad

RAWALPINDI: Section 144 has been extended once again in the twin cities. Section 144 will remain in force in the twin cities till December 24.

Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema has also issued a notification in this regard.

According to the notification, there will be a complete ban on gatherings, processions and rallies. While any gathering of more than 4 people will be banned. The use of loudspeakers has also been banned to ensure law and order.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, these measures are being taken to ensure public safety and law enforcement. And strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the restrictions.
