ISLAMABAD: Islamabad and Rawalpindi experienced tremors on Friday, with the earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, according to the seismic department.
Earlier, a strong earthquake was felt in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, though no casualties or damage have been reported so far.
According to the media, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.7 at a depth of 12 kilometers, with its epicenter in the central region of Afghanistan.
Following the tremors, residents came out of their homes, reciting Kalma Tayyaba. Authorities have confirmed that no human or financial loss has been reported.
It is worth noting that just a few days ago, Afghanistan experienced a magnitude 4 earthquake at a depth of 22 kilometers.
