Section 144 implemented in Punjab, Official notification issued

LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department has imposed Section 144 across the province and imposed an immediate and complete ban on flying outdoor drones across the province.

The Punjab Home Department has issued an official notification regarding the implementation of Section 144 and the ban on flying drones.

According to the notification, the Punjab Home Department has imposed a 30-day ban on outdoor drone flying under Section 144. The Punjab government has banned the use of drones in view of security concerns.

The Punjab Home Department has said that limited use of small drones is allowed during events inside halls and marquees. The organizers will be fully responsible for the safe use of drones during indoor events.

The notification exempts law enforcement and intelligence agencies from the ban, and imposes Section 144 across Punjab and a ban on the use of drones for 30 days.

The spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department has said that public safety, maintenance of law and order, and protection of property are the top priorities of the government. The administration and police across Punjab have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the orders of the Home Department.
