Security forces kill 23 militants in KP operations

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 23 Khawarij in two operations in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 12 terrorists of the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij were killed in a targeted operation.

During the operation, the security forces effectively targeted the hideout of the Khawarij, and 11 more Khawarij were killed in the operation based on intelligence inputs.

According to the ISPR, another operation was conducted based on intelligence inputs about the presence of another group of Khawarij, and counter-terrorism operations are underway at full speed under the resolve to stabilize.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a clearance operation is underway to eliminate other possible Khawarij in the area.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has commended the officers and personnel of the security forces for the successful operations against Fitna-ul-Khawarij in Kurram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and praised the professionalism of the officers and personnel of the security forces for killing 23 foreigners.

The Prime Minister said that the fight against the monster of terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated from the country. The entire nation, including me, stands by the Pakistani armed forces in their unwavering determination to protect the beloved homeland.
