Shaukat Khanum seeks direct access to assess Imran Khan’s health

LAHORE: The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital has requested direct access to examine the health condition of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a post shared on the social media platform X.

The hospital administration wrote that “A number of reports are in circulation since last night, suggesting that Mr Imran Khan is suffering from a serious eye condition known as central retinal vein occlusion.”

“Various underlying medical conditions may result in this situation. Although it is impossible for us to verify this news independently, we are obviously gravely concerned as to Mr Imran Khan’s health at this time.”

The post read that  “While we have every confidence in the abilities and professionalism of the physicians currently looking after him, we nevertheless request that a team of physicians from Shaukat Khanum Hospital be given immediate access to Khan Sb and be allowed to participate in his care, so as to reassure all those who are concerned for his welfare.”

Earlier, numerous PTI social media accounts shared posts on social media regarding the health condition of the PTI Chief.
