ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation in which detailed consultations were held on the overall situation in the region and matters of mutual interest.
During the conversation, the two leaders reiterated their commitment to make the ongoing diplomatic efforts for lasting peace and stability in the region more effective.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Qatar’s key role in reducing tensions and promoting peace in the Middle East. He said that the people of Pakistan are eagerly awaiting the upcoming visit of the Emir of Qatar to Pakistan, and this visit will prove to be a milestone in taking the historic relations between the two brotherly countries to new heights.
Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said on the occasion that Qatar will continue its vigorous diplomatic efforts for the security and stability of the region.
The two leaders also agreed on the strength of bilateral relations, the importance of dialogue, and continuing regular communication and close consultations to address regional challenges.
