Shehbaz Sharif vows relief for poor and middle class

ISLAMABADS: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif says that in this hour of difficulty, the economically weaker section will not be left alone, efforts are being made to provide more relief to the weak and middle class.

The meeting chaired by the Prime Minister reviewed the current fuel reserves and public relief measures in Pakistan, during which the Intelligence Bureau’s audit report on the implementation of fuel saving measures and progress on the austerity campaign was also presented in the meeting. The meeting was informed that there are adequate fuel reserves to meet the country’s needs and arrangements are being made for the future as well.

The meeting was briefed that there is ample stock of medicines to meet the country’s needs, the increase in levy on high-octane fuel in large vehicles has not led to any change in the prices of jet fuel.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that in the current circumstances, the sacrifice process has started with cutting government expenditure, reducing government expenditure, cutting the development budget and immediately closing 60 percent of government vehicles.

He said that the money earned from saving measures was used for public relief by repeatedly rejecting proposals to increase oil prices, and using the digital system, public relief measures will be brought to the common man.

He said that efforts are being made to provide more relief to the weak and middle class people, the economically weak class will not be left alone in this difficult time, and despite the crisis, thanks to timely decisions, by the grace of God, there was no disruption in the supply of fuel.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is making strong efforts on the diplomatic front regarding peace in the region.
