ISLAMABAD: Sher Afzal Marwat said that it is not right to welcome the recent agreement in a hurry because many clauses in it are ambiguous.
He said that peace is very important in the interest of the Palestinian people, but decisions taken in haste can prove to be dangerous.
He warned that welcoming any agreement without thinking is actually equivalent to giving a blank check, which can lead to complications later. According to Sher Afzal Marwat, the real effects can be assessed only when the agreement is implemented transparently.
He said that the concerns of the Muslim Ummah and public opinion cannot be ignored, and a detailed examination of the agreement is inevitable instead of blind support.
Talking about Pak-Saudi defense cooperation, Sher Afzal Marwat said that this agreement strengthens both countries equally and is not imposed by international powers but is part of mutual interest.
However, he maintained that the 20-point agenda should have been presented in parliament first so that the public representatives could be taken into confidence. He reminded that most of the big decisions in Pakistan have been taken by ignoring the parliament,
like the 26th Constitutional Amendment was brought in the dark of night, which affected the constitutional structure. He added that Maryam Nawaz’s strong response surprised the PPP, and that is why the PPP had to protest inside the parliament, for which the Law Minister even had to apologize.
According to him, the real difference is in development funds and administrative matters. Sherafazal Marwat said in a conversation about the founder of PTI that the real facts are not reaching him, and the Aleema Khan group has been continuously making him make wrong decisions.
He was talking on ABN News’ program Debate @ 8 and said that
According to him, Ali Amin Gandapur also did not open his mouth on many important issues. He indicated that more details about the PTI founder will come to light in due course.
Sherafazal Marwat’s speech has not only sparked debate in political circles but is also trending on social media, where people are expressing their opinions on the potential impact of the agreement and the factors behind the PTI founder’s decisions.
