KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced the early closure of shops and shopping malls while implementing the austerity policy.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh government, new working hours of markets, hotels and wedding halls have been implemented.
According to the notification, shops, markets and shopping malls in all districts except Karachi and other divisional headquarters will be closed at 8 pm, while shops, markets and shopping malls in divisional headquarters will be closed at 9 pm.
In addition, hotels and food outlets will be allowed to remain open from 7 pm to 11:30 pm, however, there will be no restrictions on home delivery and takeaway services.
According to the notification, wedding halls and banquets will be allowed to hold events from 8 pm to 12 am.
However, tandoors, milk shops, bakeries, medical stores, laboratories, clinics, hospitals and petrol pumps will be exempted from the restrictions.
According to the notification, the instructions related to austerity will be implemented immediately. The Sindh government has directed the commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure strict implementation of these orders with the cooperation of the Sindh Police.
