SIALKOT: Sialkot International Airport organized a special roadshow in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, bringing together prominent figures from the business, travel, business and media communities.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Chairman of Sialkot International Airport, Mr. Hasan Ali Bhatti. Among the distinguished attendees were Vice Chairman SIAL Waqas Afzal, Former Chairman SIAL Mian Naeem Javed, CEO SIAL Air Vice Marshal Tanveer Ashraf Bhatti (R), President Mirpur Chamber of Commerce Umar Shahzad Jaral, President Bhimber Travel Agents Association Syed Muddasir Hussain, and President Mirpur Press Club Abid Hussain.
A large number of businessmen and citizens from various sectors also participated. During the roadshow, participants received a comprehensive briefing on Sialkot International Airport’s operations, facilities, international airline partnerships, and the ongoing expansion projects shaping the airport’s future.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman SIAL Hasan Ali Bhatti expressed his admiration for the people of Mirpur, stating,

He further highlighted the vital support of travel partners, adding that more than one million passengers are now choosing Sialkot International Airport annually, an achievement made possible through the dedication and collaboration of local travel agents.
Addressing the audience, Vice Chairman Waqas Afzal said, “Sialkot International Airport has become the most convenient and reliable option for the entire region. It has significantly reduced the travel challenges previously faced by passengers, eliminating the need to journey to Lahore, Islamabad, or elsewhere for international travel.”
Former Chairman SIAL Mian Naeem Javed thanked the people of Mirpur for their continued trust:“We are grateful to the residents of Mirpur who consistently choose Sialkot Airport for their travel needs.
We look forward to strengthening this bond even further.” President of the Mirpur Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Umar Shahzad Jaral, applauded the visionary entrepreneurship of Sialkot’s business community: “Sialkot International Airport stands as a remarkable model of self-reliance and commitment.
Even after 18 years, no other city in Pakistan has replicated this success. It truly reflects the credibility and determination of Sialkot’s business leaders.” CEO SIAL Air Vice Marshal Tanveer Ashraf Bhatti (R) shared updates on development plans, stating that the airport is progressing rapidly with expansion projects, including a five-star hotel and additional runways.
He also highlighted that two new international airlines began operations at Sialkot Airport this year, with more expected to join soon. The event concluded with Chairman SIAL presenting appreciation shields to the President of Mirpur Chamber, the President of Mirpur Press Club, and the President of Bhimbar Travel Agents Association, along with certificates of appreciation to other participants.
