Sindh: Summer vacations announced

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has approved the summer and winter vacation schedule for schools and colleges for the year 2026.

According to the announcement, the summer vacation will be from June 1 to July 31, 2026, while the winter vacation has been fixed from December 21 to December 31, 2026.

These dates were approved in a meeting of the steering committee chaired by Provincial Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah. The meeting also approved the academic calendar for 2027-2026.

Under the approved plan, the academic year 2027-2026 will start from April 1, 2026. Admissions up to grade 9 will continue from March 1 to March 31, 2026.

The exams for grade 9 and 10 will be held from March 30 to April 15, 2026. The results of Class 10 will be released on June 1, 2026, while the results of Class 9 will be released on June 15, 2026.

Admissions to Class 11 will be completed from June 1 to the last week of July 2026 under the Central Admission Policy.

The examinations for Class 11 and 12 will be held from April 15 to April 30, 2026. The results of Class 12 will be released on June 15, 2026, while the results of Class 11 are expected on July 1, 2026.

The committee also approved automatic promotion of students of Classes 1 to 3 without examination, while the examinations for Classes 4 to 8 will be held from March 1 to March 15, 2026.
