TEHRAN: Reports have emerged that Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasserzadeh was killed in an alleged joint Israeli and American attack on Iran.

Iranian authorities have not released full details at the official level, however, according to foreign media outlets, the attack targeted Iranian defense installations.

The head of the Israeli army has claimed that the ongoing operation in Iran is different and more extensive than past wars, and a major attack against the Iranian defense system has been completed.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, while talking to American media, said that Iran may have lost some of its commanders, but this is not a major problem, the American and Israeli attack is unprovoked, illegal and a clear violation of international law.
