Singer Naseebo Lal accuses husband of domestic violence

LAHORE: Renowned singer Naseebo Lal has reportedly been subjected to domestic violence as she registered a case against her husband at the Shahdara Town Police Station in Lahore.

According to the first information report (FIR), the folk singer’s husband, Naveed Hussain, allegedly abused and assaulted her at their home, located in Ali Park, Garhi Mohalla.

The FIR further mentioned that Naseebo’s husband attacked her on the face with a brick, causing severe injuries to the left side of her face.

“He often quarrels with me, but today he assaulted me by hitting me with a brick and abusing me, committing a grave act of violence,” he stated, demanding legal action against the accused.

The report has been registered under Section 345 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Naseebo Lal is renowned for her powerful vocals and has made a significant mark in the Pakistani music scene, performing folk songs in Saraiki, Punjabi, Urdu, and Marwari.
