Six people died as bus caught fire at western bypass in Quetta

QUETTA: In a tragic incident, at least 6 people died and seven were injured as a local bus caught fire after a loader rickshaw filled with Iranian petrol hit it on the Quetta Western Bypass.

The local bus and the loader rickshaw were completely burnt to ashes, according to rescue officials.

According to details, A loader rickshaw coming from the direction of Mastung hit a local bus at the Western Bypass near Hazarganji. The loader rickshaw was carrying Iranian petrol.

4 of the injured are in critical condition, while 60 to 70 percent of their bodies have been burned. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and registered an FIR.

The rescue and security officials rushed to the spot and took the dead bodies to the hospital, and the injured were taken to taken Civil Hospital burn section for further treatment.

“The government of Balochistan expresses profound sadness and regret over the fire incident,” Spokesman Shahid Rind stated, “We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the passengers who lost their lives in the incident.

The spokesman assured that the injured were receiving the greatest medical care available. Once the investigation is over, those guilty will face harsh consequences.

“All possible help and support will be provided to the affected families,” Rind said.
