PESHAWAR: A complete ban on employees’ use of smartphones during office hours has been imposed, and mobile phones have been ordered to be submitted to the relevant in-charge.
According to the details, the use of smartphones during office hours has been banned for the staff of district courts in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A formal notification has also been issued by the Registrar’s Office of the District Judiciary in this regard.
The notification issued stated that court staff will not be allowed to use smartphones during office hours. The mobile phones of all staff on duty will remain in the custody of the concerned branch head, and they have to submit their phones as soon as they reach the office.
The notification said that the branch in charge will keep the phones of the staff with them at the beginning of office hours.
The notification clarified that in case of any emergency or emergency, the staff can be contacted only through the official landline number.
The Registrar’s Office has strictly instructed court staff to stay away from smartphones during office hours so that there is no disruption to court matters and office work.
