ISLAMABAD: Now that the winter season has finally begun in Pakistan, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited has announced the gas load shedding schedule for winter 2025.

While the winter season has reached its peak, the Winter Gas Load-shedding Schedule 2025 of SNGPL becomes functional to cope with the ever-increasing demand for gas throughout the country.

These schedule plans have been devised to ensure an equitable supply to household consumers in winter. The following timings shall be observed for SNGPL areas including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and other small towns of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Winter Gas Load Shedding Schedule 2025

Morning: 5:30 AM – 8:30 AM

Afternoon: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Evening: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

The demand for gas increases manifold during winter for heating, cooking, and water geysers. The restricted gas reserves cannot fulfill peak demand; thus SNGPL has fixed supply hours to distribute the commodity in a justified manner and to avoid complete cuts.

SNGPL can change this schedule based on weather conditions, gas reserves, or supply adjustments. Officials assure the public that efforts are ongoing to stabilize gas distribution.

The citizens have been urged to report gas theft or any illegal connections forthwith to SNGPL to save pressure drops and ensure equitable supply.

Tips to Manage Gas Shortage at Home

Cooking during available gas hours. Utilize electrical appliances where possible. Avoid keeping geysers on for long periods of time. Insulate water pipes, and install water-saving taps. Immediately report any leaks or thefts.

Winter Gas Load-Shedding Schedule 2025 is planned to keep a proper balance of gas supply during winter. Yes, there might be a little bit of inconvenience, but sticking to the schedule and using gas responsibly will help ensure that households get a fair share of a smoother winter supply for all.
