LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has announced the prize money for the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In a statement issued on X, Mohsin Naqvi said that franchises will be awarded a huge prize money from the next edition of the PSL.

The PSL champion team will be given $500,000, while the runners-up team will get a prize of $300,000.

The Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board said that $200,000 will be given to the best franchise in cricket development.

It should be noted that 8 teams will be included in the Pakistan Super League Season XI instead of 6.

The auction of the two new teams will be held on January 6. Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Gilgit, and Muzaffarabad are among the possible cities.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer says that the PSL is developing as a world-class T20 league.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the franchises could not reach an agreement on the schedule of the Pakistan Super League 11 (PSL 2026).

According to details, the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League will be held in April and May next year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started the process of selling 2 new teams, but the number of matches has not yet been agreed upon.

Initially, a proposal of 44 to 60 matches has been made, but the franchises want more matches to be held to increase revenue.

The franchises believe that each team should be allowed to play at least 14 matches in the initial round; however, board officials say that this will not be possible due to limited space in the window.

The team owners suggested that 2 matches each be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to resolve this issue, and discussions are still ongoing on this.

Apart from this, no final decision has been taken on the draft or auction.
