Solar panel prices rise again across Pakistan

ISLAMANAD: The prices of Solar panels have started increasing once again in across Pakistan.

The price of solar panels has been increased by Rs 10 per watt, after which the price has increased from Rs 30 per watt to Rs 40 per watt.

Due to the increase in prices, the overall cost of solar systems has also increased. The price of a complete solar system has increased by Rs 2 lakh.

According to the new rates, the price of a 5 kW on-grid system is Rs 650,000, the price of a 7 kW system is Rs 750,000, the price of a 10 kW system is Rs 1.1 lakh, the price of a 12 kW system is Rs 1.25 lakh and the price of a 15 kW system is Rs 1.5 lakh.

Sources say that these prices are only for on-grid systems. Customers installing hybrid systems will have to pay extra for batteries.

Despite the increase in prices in the market, the demand for solar energy has not decreased. Consumers are still attracted to solar systems due to the increasing electricity rates.
