Soldier Martyred, 9 Terrorists Killed in KP Operations

Rawalpindi: In a series of successful operations against terrorism, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have dealt a significant blow to insurgent elements, resulting in the martyrdom of a brave soldier and the elimination of nine terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media affairs wing reported that in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in Tank District, security forces successfully neutralized two terrorists, including a high-value target identified as Rehmat Ullah alias Badar Mansur. Meanwhile, in a separate operation in South Waziristan District, seven terrorists were eliminated after a fierce exchange of fire.

The ISPR highlighted that these operations were crucial in dismantling terrorist networks and disrupting their nefarious activities, including extortion and target killings of innocent civilians. The slain militants were known to be actively involved in various terrorist activities against both security forces and civilians in the region.

During these operations, Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam, aged 29, displayed immense bravery but tragically embraced martyrdom while defending his country against terrorism. The sacrifice of Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam serves as a testament to the unwavering determination of Pakistani security forces in eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country.
