KARACHI: The Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has denied reports spreading on social media that there would be a total gas supply cut-off in the city of Karachi.

In an official clarification, the company said that no such announcement has been made and that reports of a city-wide suspension of gas supplies are incorrect.

SSGC has further said that gas distribution in Karachi is currently under the winter load management schedule. The company has also made it clear that night load management is scheduled from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.

The gas supplier strongly encouraged consumers to seek reports from reliable sources to avoid the spread of rumors.

Regarding this, an advisory issued by the SSGC stated that the public could get all their queries cleared from its helpline or its official website for authentic information.
