LAHORE: The son of a private housing society’s PSO was spotted solving the 9th board paper while riding in his car in Lahore on Thursday, according to media reports

The youngster was apprehended when Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat stormed Government High School Ali Razaabad. The Controller of Examinations, Zahid Mian, was also present during the raid.

The student, identified as Syed Muhammad Abu Bakr Hashmi, was seated in the car attempting his ninth physics paper.

Zahid Mian stated that this is not the first time that the student has attempted his exam in the car

The Controller of Examinations, Zahid Mian, has suspended five officials, including Headmaster Muhammad Shahid Baig, Superintendent Abdul Hafeez, Deputy Superintendent, and two supervisors.

A complaint was filed against the five authorities, and an investigation was launched. A UMC case was filed against student Syed Muhammad Abu Bakr Hashmi.

Earlier, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore had started distributing roll number slips for students preparing for the first annual examination of 2025.

Both regular and private candidates are encouraged to download their slips immediately to meet the requirements for admission to the examination.

Candidates should ensure that they bring their roll number slips to the examination centre, as officials have confirmed that any student who fails to produce their slip will be denied entry.

The roll number slip contains important information, including paper timings, examination centre address, and a personal date sheet for each candidate.

Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian said that this QR code system has already been successful in preventing unauthorized candidates from accessing the examination centres.
