ISLAMABAD: Due to the ongoing heat wave in most parts of the country, the government is introducing a new schedule for summer vacations in schools.
Following Sindh and Balochistan, the Federal Ministry of Education has extended the summer vacation for schools and colleges in Islamabad until August 4.
A notification stated, “Due to the severe heat and humidity in the Federal Capital, summer vacation in ICT schools and colleges has been extended to August 4, 2024.” Schools and colleges will resume on August 5.
Previously, the Sindh government had extended the summer vacation for all schools until August 14 due to the ongoing weather conditions.
According to the notification, all private and government schools will remain closed till August 14.
