‘Taxi scheme’ big news in Sindh after Pink Scooties

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the introduction of ‘Pink Taxi Scheme’ in the province after Pink Scooties.

Speaking in the Sindh Assembly, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that the Sindh government has taken revolutionary steps to empower women, and has asked traffic officials to take action when a man drives a Pink Scooty.

He said that complaints are coming that women’s brothers drive Pink Scooty, and instructions have been given regarding this.

Sharjeel Memon said that they are bringing an EV taxi scheme, which will also include the Pink Taxi scheme, and they will give the good news of the EV taxi scheme to Sindh very soon.

The provincial minister said that for the first time in Pakistan, the Sindh government has brought EV buses, one person made a speech that only one thousand Pink Scooties have been brought.

He said that when the Pink Scooty scheme was started, only 150 women had licenses, today when we are talking, 25 thousand women have applied for licenses, the Pink Scooty scheme is a revolution for Sindh, today women are driving scooty, if even one hundred thousand women have licenses, then it is our job to provide scooty.

Sharjeel Memon says that the best performance in the whole country is that of Sindh Revenue Board, it has also broken the record of FBR in tax collection, FBR’s growth is 10 percent and SBR’s is 24 percent.
