MIANWALI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in collaboration with local police killed 10 terrorists belonging to the banned Khawarij outfit in an intelligence-based operation in Makarwal area of Mianwali on Monday.
According to a police spokesperson, ten militants of the banned outfit were killed and several others were injured during the operation.
A local citizen was also injured in the firing by the terrorists. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors confirmed that he was shot in the leg.
A search operation is currently underway to find the escaped militants, while the process of identifying the deceased is underway.
According to the CTD, the terrorists were planning a major attack in Mianwali.
