DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In a tragic incident, two farmers lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in a terrorist attack near a police check post in the Garah Hayat area of Dera Ismail Khan city. The attack targeted farmers working in the field, while police officials at the check post remained unharmed.

Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, providing immediate medical assistance to the injured individuals who were then transferred to the District Head Quarters (DHQ) hospital. Thankfully, no police officials were reported injured during the attack.

This unfortunate event follows a similar incident last year when three policemen were martyred and 16 others injured in a terrorist attack on a police station in Dera Ismail Khan. The terrorists targeted the Daraban police station’s main gate, using an explosive-laden car, resulting in casualties among the law enforcement personnel. The police responded effectively, neutralizing two terrorists during an exchange of fire.
