LAKKI MARWAT: A terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Lakki Marwat was foiled by the police, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists in retaliatory fire. According to reports, the incident occurred at the Shah Tora Takhti Khel checkpost.

The police responded strongly to the attack, engaging the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire. Two terrorists were killed in the retaliatory fire, and modern foreign-made weapons, including an M4 rifle and a 9mm pistol, were recovered from the militants.

The Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police praised the swift response and bravery of the police personnel involved in the operation.

He announced rewards for the officers, reiterating that the morale of the KP Police remains high in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

This incident comes amid ongoing terrorism challenges in the region. In a similar incident earlier in October, a policeman was martyred in a terrorist attack on a police camp in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The attack involved an exchange of fire that lasted for several hours, with reports of explosion sounds.
