QUETTA: An Unknown group of armed men set fire to several government buildings on Friday night in the Mongochar area of Kalat district, according to media reports.
According to reports, a gang of armed men blocked the national highway, intercepting several automobiles. They checked multiple vehicles, including passenger buses and private vehicles, causing all traffic along the route to stop.
According to reports, the armed gang stormed the Mongochar market and set fire to many government facilities, including the Nadra offices, Judicial Complex, and National Bank of Pakistan. The fire caused extensive damage to the structures.
The armed individuals fled the area before security arrived.
Officials stated that an operation was initiated in the region, and traffic on the roadway was restored late at night.
In another incident, a gang of armed men on motorbikes attacked a Levies checkpoint at Kot-Langove, opening fire and murdering a Levies official named Haq Nawaz Langove.
Levies authorities also reported a huge explosion under a bridge on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Rahimabad region of Kalat district, which caused minor damage to the bridge, while no casualties recorded.
