ISLAMABAD: In view of the increasing tension in the region and the fears of closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has issued another emergency tender for the purchase of spot cargo.
According to the details issued by PLL, regular bids have been invited from all global LNG companies by July 15.
These bids have been invited for LNG delivery to Pakistan on July 21 and 22.
Officials say that all bids received for the tender will be opened immediately on the same day so that the process can be completed as soon as possible.
It may be noted that the government of Pakistan has earlier purchased two LNG tenders to meet the domestic requirements of July.
PLL said that the cargo for the supply of July 10-11 was purchased at a rate of $ 17.37 per MMBTU. In addition, LNG cargo was purchased from June 30 to July 4 at a rate of $ 16.73 per MMBTU.
