LAHORE: It has been revealed that some private schools have opened in Lahore before the end of the winter vacations, on which the education authorities have started immediate action.

The District Education Authority conducted surprise inspections in different areas of the city and sealed three private schools for violating the rules.

According to the authority’s spokesperson, schools established in Shahdara, Bedian Road and Sabzazar areas were found to be open during the vacations. The principals of these schools have been summoned for an explanation.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has taken a strong stand on the issue. He clarified that no private school can be opened before the end of the vacations as per the official schedule.

He said that if any school is found violating the rules in the future, the concerned CEO Education will take strict action.
