Three soldiers martyred, 19 terrorists killed in KP operations: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: In a sad incident, three soldiers were martyred and 19 terrorists of Fitna-Al-Khawarij were killed in separate operations conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 6 and 7, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

These operations were conducted in several  places incuding the Matani area of Peshawar district, Baizai in Mohmand district, and Karak district. The first one at Matani was intelligence-based, and the forces there engaged in the effective attack on the site of Khawarij, killing eight terrorists.

Another operation took place in Baizai, where another eight Khwarij were neutralized in the exchange of gunfire. The third of these operations in Karak district led to the elimination of three Khwarij; unfortunatey, in this action, three soldiers lost the battle of life.

The soldiers who lost their lives in this operation are identified as Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali, 38, hailed from Ghizer district, while Naik Muhammad Nazir, 37, and Naik Muhammad Usman, 37, hailed from Skardu and Attock districts, respectively.

The security forces are determined to get rid of the menace of terrorism from the country, while the sacrifice made by these brave soldiers further infuses them with a strong motivation to continue fighting.

Sanitization operations are currently underway to eliminate all terrorists from the area. According to a press statement released from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed the details of the operations, paying tribute to the martyred soldiers.
