ISLAMABAD: The examination of the last prosecution witness in the Toshakhana 2 case against PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has been completed.
The court has given the accused a last chance to prove their innocence under 342.
The hearing of the Toshakhana 2 case was held by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand at Adiala Jail.
PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented before the court.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been provided with questionnaires under 342, on which a response has been sought at the next hearing.
Imran Khan’s lawyer Qousin Faisal Mufti completed the examination of the last prosecution witness, Mohsin Haroon.
The prosecution informed the court in writing about the completion of the testimony.
The questionnaires given to both have 29 questions each, and the court also allowed the accused to present witnesses in their defense.
The defense lawyers will submit their answers to the questionnaire under Section 342 on October 8.
The court has also given an opportunity to the lawyers of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to consult with the accused.
During the hearing, Senator Ali Zafar, Senator Mashal Yousafzai, Barrister Salman Akram Raja, KP government advisor Barrister Saif, and Imran Khan’s three sisters were also present in the court.
Federal prosecutors Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi and Bilal Butt, while special prosecutors Barristers Umair Majeed and Shahroz Gilani were also present in the court. Further hearing of the case was adjourned till October 8.
